As of February 2026, there are six British collections from spring (2), summer (3) and autumn (1).

Distribution

Very rarely recorded. The species was first recorded in Britain in 2024 by Eric Janke, who has made several subsequent collections, all from South Hampshire.

Notes

This species was first described in a 2013 paper from specimens collected on the Macaronesian islands, which are off the coast of Portugal and West Africa. The specimen shown was identified by DNA sequencing carried out by Eric Janke in association with the BMS. It is the first record for North Hampshire.
